They need to have a colour that is the same colour as the screen. Looking at a black screen with a different colour bezel is ****e. So basically dark grey or black.

Why not offer the Pro in the same colours as the regular iPhone in addition to the three 'Pro' colours? Not once have I preferred a Pro colour over a regular iPhone colour. It's always been a choice of the least crappy Pro colour as opposed to which one I like.

Apple's iPhone 18 Pro models could be available in new rich and warm color option, according to a known leaker.
The Weibo user known as "Digital Chat Station" today suggested that next-year's iPhone 18 Pro models will be available in at least one of the following color options: Coffee, purple, and burgundy.
The iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 14, and iPhone 14 Pro were all available in lavender or purple, but there have never been coffee or burgundy iPhones before. A coffee-colored iPhone 18 Pro could be a good successor to the gold iPhone XS or the "desert titanium" iPhone 16 Pro.
Coffee sits in the brown family as a deep and earthy shade. Burgundy belongs to the red family, blending rich crimson with traces of brown or purple for a darker, wine-like tone. Purple lies between red and blue, but when muted or darkened, it leans warm.
The leaker added that there will still be no black iPhone 18 Pro next year. The iPhone 17 Pro is available in Silver, Deep Blue, and Cosmic Orange. There was no black or gray option for the first time in the device's history.
The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to launch in the fall of next year, featuring the A20 chip made with TSMC's 2nm process, a variable aperture main camera, the C2 modem, a simplified Camera Control, and more.

Amazing that the one colour that would make it look slightly less fugly -- black, which would make grotesqueries like the camera bump and the two-tone subbump less glaringly obvious -- still isn't an option.
Doesn't matter what Apple does, the complaints flow like water.
My wife would be ecstatic for a purple phone. Her last two upgrades were made specifically because of the availability of purple (iPhone 11, 14 Pro) and with 18 being her favorite number, a purple iPhone 18 would be perfection for her.
Personally, while I dislike both the design and orange color of this year’s model, I’m glad they’re adding some color to the lineup and hope they keep it up. I’d be all for a red/burgundy choice. I’m waiting for their folding phone so I’m sure my choices will be boring or more boring. 😜

Purple is not a color. It's interpolated because our eyes can't see its wavelength.

No way it’s going to be that shade of purple if it’s a fall phone. It would be closer to aubergine with more red tones than blue tones.
