do you guys think the iPhone 6/6s leather case will fit the new iPhone 7? We obviously don't know the dimensions of the iPhone 7 but spigen already released a series of iPhone 7 cases so they must know something about the inner dimensions I just wish they stated it on their site..

I mean technically if the iPhone 7 is the same shape then the official apple leather case for the iPhone 6/6s should fit

If it is the same dimensions then I don't see a reason it should not fit the new iPhone; aside from the camera potentially being larger in diameter.

I don't think it'll fit. The camera cutout for the 6s leather case will be too small for the iPhone 7.

That's a pretty major reason for the case NOT to fit.

    Lets not forget..

Air to Pro 9.7 = New Case. (Exact same dimension but camera didn't fit)
Mini 3 to Mini 4 = New Case. (Mini 4 is a millimeter taller for absolutely no reason)
6 to 6S = New Case. (Slightly thicker so even though it kinda fit, they say it wont)
6S to 7 = New Case. (Different camera dimensions so definitely not a fit)

To be honest, I'm surprised Apple didn't put some sort of unicorn horn in the back of the SE so that they could claim it needed a special case to harness all that unicorn magic.

Yeah, Apple designs those camera cutouts really precisely on their cases. I would bet it'd be easy to find a third party case that fits; dimensions of the phones being the same. However, since this is about the Apple leather cases I think it all comes down to the camera bump. One other note is that if the phone is thinner, then the lip on the leather case would be taller; if that bothers people. I'm sure Apple will somehow alter the dimensions, by mm to make the phone shell different enough that new cases will need to be purchased.

You're right, I forgot about the new dual camera cutout needed for the new case for the iPhone 7 plus so older Apple leather cases won't work

Ive always loved the Apple leather cases but I may pass on it for the iPhone 7 because Apple has Changed their policies on warranty coverage.

In the past then the Leather Cases came with a 1yr warranty and with AppleCare+ on your associated device then they'd cover accessories. If my leather iPad smart case would start to fray or my iPhone Leather Case would start falling apart then they'd gladly replace it. But this year that changed and not only does Applecare+ no longer cover accessories (Apple Pencil, Apple Smart Covers, Apple Dock).

Currently my iPhone 6S+ Leather case ($59) loosely fits because the plastic frame is warping. My iPad Mini 4 Silicone Smart Case ($49) has a crack near the headphone jack. And my iPad Pro Smart Keyboard 9.7 ($149) is cracking along one of the folding flaps and its eventually going to split. In each case the item is under a year old but denied support because "its wear and tear so its not covered".

Now, i'm not entirely sure if their Previous leniency on replacements was simply old school courtesy but nowadays then I'm getting straight up "No's" to just about anything. So if the AC+ support is no longer there then a much cheaper alternatives that have equal or superior quality.

Which case do you think is the best to order ahead of time for the new iPhone 7 Plus? I know spigen released some cases for the iPhone 7 Plus

Amazon always has vendors selling dirt cheap new model cases before the product even comes out. I get the cheap ones for the first few weeks until I decide which case to settle on. Usually I settle for the Apple one but this year I may not since Im definitely upgrading to the 10th anniversary phone next year.

I ordered this iPhone 7 Plus Case last night. Coupon code: BENSB916 made it 99cents and its arriving tomorrow. They raised the price though so the discount makes it $5. Check around though.
