Leather Cases: iPhone 7 Plus vs iPhone 8 Plus

Are the Apple Leather Cases for the iPhone 7 Plus the same exact case for the iPhone 8 Plus? I can get the iPhone 7 Plus Leather Cases for about $20 cheaper but I want to make sure they are the same Cases and will fit my iPhone the way it should. Thanks in advance for any answers! I couldn’t quite find any online.

I use the Apple leather cases for an Iphone 7 plus on my Iphone 8 plus. They are just a tad bit more snug on the 8 plus. I have also bought the newer ones that say they are for the 8 plus/7 plus and they fit the 8 plus perfectly.

Yes,I didn't see too much difference,Just bought one from www.aswanu.com.They say it is compatible for both iphone8/7.

I believe Apple made the case for the 8 slightly larger due to the *slightly* larger dimensions of the 8. The case for the 8 is also backward compatible with the 7. However, the 7 case seems snugger on the 8 (as Buckeye2009 mentioned).

8+ case is slightly bigger so 7+ you will feel some play when grab. I returned 8+ leather case due to that.
