If it was a flex I would have said ”my Porsche”, not ”my Porsche Cayman” - Which is their cheaper model for people like me who can’t afford a 911For one, the percentage spent to protect your car vs overall vehicle price makes more sense (which you eluded to), and you are in the minority of people to do such a thing.
Was that a flex, or were you just helping to prove my point that cases are over priced and somewhat pointless?
I'm also very curious about this. For those who have Magsafe and leather cases, does the Magsafe put a bit circle around the back of the case after a few charges.
For what it's worth, I have a silicone case on my Mini and it hasn't put a mark on it as of yet, anyway.
I use the Apple MagSafe charger that has the Apple Watch charger too and folds (I love this one - great for travel too) Nightly. I have the dark blue Apple leather case. No marks at all. Phone locks into the MagSafe charger nicely. For those who have Magsafe and leather cases, does the Magsafe put a bit circle around the back of the case after a few charges.

Not at all. The leather this year feels and smells better, like actual leather rather than chemicals.Welp, last leather case I had was dark blue for iPhone8 and I LOVED IT, and I'm still gonna buy the black one for 13 pro and see how it turns out... but I wonder if there's any official statement from Apple, why the 12/13 leather cases eat shiet? How they justify turning the awesome product it was before to this cheap crap show? We need Ive back on Apple stat... Has anyone done reviews of the 13's Apple leather cases? Are they the same crap as last years fiasco?![]()
Not this year. No mark whatsoever!!For those who have Magsafe and leather cases, does the Magsafe put a bit circle around the back of the case after a few charges.

Mine is a day old. I actually dont care about scuffs since that is pretty much the whole point of getting a case. But there it is and it actually makes me hopeful that this green case will patina well. For those who have Magsafe and leather cases, does the Magsafe put a bit circle around the back of the case after a few charges.

I’ve been using the Belkin 3 in 1 charger for a few days now and my green leather case is good as new and doesn’t have that MagSafe imprint on it.Mine is a day old. Note:
- Photo taken at window to emphasize the ring
- Apple MagSafe charger used
- Charges hotter than 12. Maybe heat is a factor?
- Green case looks awesome
It’s been a few days already, everyone, how is the quality of the 13 Pro cases this year? The 12 leather cases did not feel like leather at all, and we’re not good quality.
I’d love to get Wisteria for my gold pro but am hesitant.
Yes not a fan of the new color sent my iPhone 13 pro case back. It’s more of a mustard color than brown. It looks like apple stopped making the saddle brown case for the 13? Its now "golden brown" and looks a lot lighter![]()
Agreed, "golden brown" was nearly orange, exchanged it for "dark cherry" and like it a lot more 👍Yes not a fan of the new color sent my iPhone 13 pro case back. It’s more of a mustard color than brown.
I didn’t like it until I saw it in person. Gives me Autumnal vibes.Apple's "Golden Brown" looks so .... orange.
I agree. I have a lot of leather products and the Midnight and Golden Brown cases are supple and smell legit like other good quality pieces I have. I’ve owned leather cases every year since the iPhone 4.Not at all. The leather this year feels and smells better, like actual leather rather than chemicals.
I just use the 20W Apple plug with lightning for my phone. I returned my MagSafe knowing about the rings, how it’s half as fast as plugged in with the 20W charger and how it charges hotCan confirm, one day with the Wisteria leather case for my 13 Pro, and there is a noticeable ring after charging with Magsafe.
Bittersweet, because although the ring is unsightly, the leather will hopefully patina much better than last years cases. Might have to break out the wired charger for now..
