Today i got my 10.5 pro and i realized Apple leather cover makes line on the screen i cleaned with microfiber towel and also cleaned the cover but after 3-4 times open and close its still there.I am worried will the markings become permanent in future?I heard using screen protector will protect but i also use apple pencil

I use a tempered glass screen protector and use the Apple Pencil. It's easier to clean the screen with the protection and it does not cause problems with the pencil.

I've got not screen protector and the Apple leather smart cover. I do see these two vertical lines from the cover, but mine come off easy w/ a microfiber cloth.

I believe the lines or markings are something to do with the friction between the Apple leather smart cover and the screen. As others have already said, a tempered glass protector will alleviate the issue. The better the oleophobic coating of the glass protector you have, the less likely you will see the issue. The built-in oleophobic coating on the glass of iPad Pro is just average. Find a very good tempered glass protector with great oleophobic coating will solve your issue.

For example, I am pleased with the oleophobic coating of AmFilm & Patchworks glass screen protectors from Amazon.

I had a cheap 3rd party no-name glass protector on my previous 9.7 Pro and also current 12.9 Pro. Pencil works fine. Don't let that stop you from getting a glass protector. I use the glass protector precisely because it makes it easier to clean without screwing up the actual screen. It's not to protect the screen from cracking.

But don't screen protectors mess up the glare-reduction? I have never actually seen a 10.5" iPad pro with a screen protector but I've read that one can cause a reflection (or glare) from the screen protector to the actually screen. Anyone with real world experience?

Yes, and yes.

I had the zagg tempered glass screen protector for the 12.9 - ended up taking it off as it just wasn’t worth the trade off.

In all my years of owning iPads, I’ve never had nicks or scratches from general use. Even from using the pencil with the first gen 12.9.

I think years ago they made sense, but not so much now.

The glare and Smart Cover sliding was what annoyed me the most..especially for the Smart Keyboard. When closed, I found the magnet between the iPad and case lip would slide. It didn’t feel as secure as without the screen protector.

A waste of $70 but lesson learned.
