Hey,

I got the leather link band for Christmas for my Series 7. The band however gets really dirty, really fast. I was wondering if anyone had the same experience here.

I don't use it to sport or whatever, I do office work so not the job in which you get dirty...

This kind of dirt is after one day of use, not doing anything special.

The only way I can remove it is by scraping it of, but then I'm also damaging the leather. As of now, I can hardly get it clean anymore.

Thanks!

Maybe it’s rubbing on something during your daily activities. If it was dirt I think it would be inside the band.

It's probably rubbing against your table when you're typing on the keyboard (my case). Not much you can do about it apart from call it "natural patina" or go for a darker color the next time. I have the same issue with my California Poppy leather link, so I wear it only occasionally.

The same thing happened to my saddle brown leather link, but my black leather link still looks fine (purchased at about the same time, a couple of years ago). So yeah - you definitely need a darker color band if you don't want to see that.

I think I recognize those pictures, I’ve seen them somewhere else in another context.
Anyway, if a band looks like this after a day, you’re doing something very wrong.

The inside is still pristine. You might be right that it isn't dirt. But then, what is it? If the color is being rubbed of then the quality of these bands is very, very bad!

I can sort of scrap it away with my fingernail, but it comes back almost immediately. The part that you see that is the most dirty is on the left side of my wrist, not the underside. So if I was rubbing against something, it should be mostly on the underside.

On the other band I can see faint "points" in the leather, no idea were these come from.

I did get a new band from Apple, but now I'm afraid to wear it. Will it become in the same condition? I bought this one to wear on formal events, I also have my sportband for sport and casual use.

But a leather band in this state is a lot worse then a casual sportband...
