OK so I ordered my 42 SS with black sport band late Friday afternoon and got a 12/5-26/5 delivery

Had a try-on session on Sunday and am happy with my choice. Also tried and loved the blue leather loop. My wrist is 190mm circumference. The Apple dude said the strap I tried was the medium, but strictly speaking that shouldn't fit as max is 185mm. There was about an inch of strap left over for further adjustment.

Do these bands come up big? Anyone try both medium and large? If so how much extra is there on the large vs the medium?

Medium now ships June, large ships May, hence the question :)

Thanks.

I have a 180mm wrist and the Medium felt fine to me with enough slack. I can see a 190mm wrist fitting into it.

I have a 185mm wrist, thought I'd need large but medium ended up fitting with a fair bit to spare. Considering one for my Sport, seems a lot for what it is though. Could buy an iPod nano for the same money!

The bands do seem to be more forgiving than Apple's sizing guide, though.

Maybe Apple has calculated what an "ideal" amount of overlap should be in order to prevent it from getting caught on something, etc., and has determined that wrists larger than 180mm wouldn't be "ideal" with the medium.

I'm 175mm to 180mm and if I fit a little tighter than I usually do (but may need this for the HR sensor) the L is about 1 to 2 'pads' too long. Was unable to try on the M but hopefully it will work fine.

I tried both M and L on with the SS 42mm watch and I think the L is approx 3cm longer. The M fitted me but I think I will go the L. My theory is that the more magnets you have in contact with each other on the strap the more secure it will be!

I have a 190 wrist. I thought the large was the size to order. Went back to the Apple store and the large fit, but to me was way to long for my wrist. The medium fit with room to spare. I am glad I went back to double check.

Great I'm also a 190mm if I change my order to a Med instead of the Lar what happens to my order it's still in processing hell? Any advice?

Exactly the conclusion I came to when I tried them both on my 185mm wrist. I also decided that I liked how the L wrapped around more since I sort of enjoyed playing with the strap end, pulling it away then letting the magnets pull it back. Nice little toy for dull meetings. Right after I tried them on I got on my iPhone and ordered the blue.

Another sizing observation: I'm wearing the long half in the sport strap and there's no way I could wear the short half without it slipping out all the time. You'd think there might be some consistency in sizes between different types of straps, but no. So, you really do have to try them on to decide.

I've been contemplating changing my Large Loop to medium because I have a 195ish wrist. I tried the medium on in store and it fit fine with minimal overlap, but i wouldn't mind more overlap. Now the question here is...does anyone have pictures of someone with a 190mm wrist trying on a M Loop and a L Loop? My store only have medium, but i know other stores had both available. Can we get some pictures in here to guide us.

I'm at about 187mm, and went with the large because it means it's possible to take the watch on and off without de-looping it. Plus I like how it feels with a little bit of extra band material. :)

Big wrists

I have a 200 mm wrist and the medium one fit barely. I ordered the large for me, but the medium is bigger then advertised.
