Leather Loop sizing a problem

My wrist size is 184mm and the medium fits 150-185 and the large fits 180-210. I have tried both and neither is a great fit. Too small or too large. Photos of both fitments:
I ended up with the large but not crazy about the look and sorta wish now I kept the medium but I was afraid it would slip off.

I think the M/L bigger size looks better

It’s odd about the sizing because I have 2 knockoff leather loops and they are a perfect fit. The short section with metal part is the size of the OEM medium and the long section matches the OEM large.

I reversed the short/long portions and I like it sooo much better.
