leather or synthetic/canvas?

I'm getting a case and am looking at two that are similarly priced, one is leather, the other is canvas and synthetic.

Now, if I wasn't bothered about my kit being well designed and looking sweet I'd be getting a Dell rather than a MBP, and I think leather cases look nice, but worried about wear and tear

Any feedback gratefully recieved

( I know I'm being a bit vague about the types of bag but would like opinions on materials rather than specific cases)

isn't this ultimately your choice? i'd prefer the latter, but only because they come in more designs than leather 🙂p) and they're usually cheaper than a good leather bag.
