Is there any bens or draw backs to leaving your iMac in sleep mode when not using it or just switching it off all together??

I leave mine (TiBook/10.4.8) on all the time; I put it in sleep mode when not using it. The machine does not need daily rebooting, like the Windows PCs do: 10.x is unix, not MS code. There are no drawbacks to this. Sleeping will spin-down the HD too, so the HD is not unnecessarily spinning away.
