I did not know metropcs had wifi calling, thanks for that info. I'm just trying to cut my cell phone bill by as much as possible. I rarely use it for actually talking and don't need very much data due to wifi at home and work.

Yeah it's a nice benefit having wifi calling on a prepaid service like metropcs. I suggest giving them a try to gauge whether Tmobile will be a viable choice.

Sprint will be your cheapest option and will give you the most benefits. Never had an issue with reception or service either.

Wrong, it is a hard pull. When you switch carriers and sign up for a new one, it is a hard pull. Anytime after that being with the same carrier it will be a soft pull.

I just switched to Verizon in Feb and it was a hard pull on mine. My Credit Karma alerted me instantly when they did it too.

Just because YOU had a hard pull does not make my statement wrong. I said MOST of the time its a soft pull. I have had a soft pull from TMO, AT&T and Verizon. Never once has a cellular provider hit me with a hard pull. Time Warner Cable hit me with a hard pull, but not a single carrier.

Before you leave ATT. Check out how good other Carriers are in the areas where you use your cell phone
There's no such thing as 'one size (carrier )fits all'

Yeah, switched to Verizon last month from att after being with them for 15 plus years and didn't get a hard pull either...as a matter of fact, my fico credit score actually went up by 17 points this month lol

AT&T is delightful compared to my experiences with TMO and Verizon. Nothing is worse than TWC or Sirius XM lol.

I dont know man, I have no experience with Verizon but every time I had to call or chat with Tmobile reps they have been nothing but great.
And easy to give credit towards my bill for any inconvenience.
I just called Sirius XM last week to get my log in info to listen online. They were awesome too :D
Maybe I been getting lucky lately:)

You must be. I had to contact XM executive office years back. My situation was so bad that they gave me a year free and gave me a direct line to them forever. I never have to call CS. I can just call them. They give me whatever I ask for.

I have had the same experience the few times I've had to call them. My smaller issues have been quickly and easily resolved over chat though. Basically, any time I've needed them to fix something, it got fixed quickly and 100% to my satisfaction.

How's the router doing?

I hear you.
Mind was just a simple password reset to be able to log in and listen online and via their XM iPhone app.

I love that Asus T-Mobile router bro.
Way faster than my old dinosaur linksys router.
I'm glad you let me in on the deal;)

T-mobile reps have been crappy to me as far as I'm concerned. Maybe because I'm a brand new customer on their 2 for $100 plan. I have had a few mishaps already (manager of store telling me couldn't do free iphone promo when actually I could, rep adding insurance without my permission, someone not setting up account right to enable HD, crappy service, etc.). They haven't credited me for anything yet!

I'd call them and let them know about the issues and bad experience you had.
I don't really trust the reps at the local stores either. They're all about sales and being pushy.
I had one charge me $20 for a sim and when I called 611 to complain they took $50 of my bill;)

I have called for every one of these issues. I wanted to talk to retention to see if I could turn my phone in and just buy the Qualcomm version outright. They said they couldn't do anything like that. I told the retention rep again all of my bad experiences with T-Mo so far, and she didn't offer a single credit. I even asked what the steps are to cancel service. She just said "same as when you ported to here."

Haven't been too impressed so far in this regard. If there were any issues with AT&T they were quick to offer a credit with me. Maybe b/c I was with them since the Cingular days.

You should just switch carriers.
Obviously you're not happy with your current wireless provider.
And you're not doing anything about it besides posting multiple threads with the same topic and same posts complaining that both your intel iPhone 7 sucks and T-Mobile sucks.
If it's not working out it's not working out and in the end you gotta figure out what works best for you. If I had the same issues I'd have left T-Mobile or any carrier with the problems you're having and cut my losses.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I really want Tmo to work out since it's cheaper.

Not doing anything about it? Ha ha you should see how many times and for how long I've talked to/messaged customer service! I always have a good attitude with them as well. Forgot to mention they declined my "tax switcher offer" for porting 2 numbers over also. I had to make a call for that. Luckily a helpful agent is sending those out.

Appreciate your help - you have replied a lot :)

I don't think posting here and getting opinions of other T-Mobile users thousands of miles away does much good. Individual results will vary by location.
Get the hardware replaced by Apple and get the sim replaced too. If your wireless experience is still bad then time to try another wireless company.
Saving money on your bill is pointless if the service doesn't suit your needs. ;)

I wised up a bit today haha. I called the local Tmobile store that set me up to see how her/colleagues' reception was locally at some of the stores. The guy that answered the phone said he gets "no service" in places like Walmart, so I guess I'm actually doing okay for this area haha
