Leaving computer turned ON

Hello there,

I was wondering, wouldn't it affect the computer if I keep it on all the time? (except for the screen being turned off overnight).

I just have a lot of downloads and leaving it overnight would help.

No problem at all leaving it on for days, weeks or months at a time.

Mine never get restarted over than for software updates, rest of the time they are either on or asleep

I always leave mine on. My MBP is on but with the lid closed at night, putting it to sleep.

I never turn mine off. Both my mbp and iMac stay on 24/7. Only reason they ever get turned off is because of a restart for update or a power outage.
