Leaving For 2 Weeks, what to do with macbook?

I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks, just wondering what I should do with the macbook as im leaving it at home.
 
turn it off, unplug the power adapter (from the wall, too), remove the battery (making sure it's not fully charged, nor uncharged).

Then put it somewhere difficult to find, maybe?
 
Is it necessary to unplug the battery? Could I just completely drain the computer to it forces itself into sleep, then turn it off, and unplug the power and switch it all off at the plug?

No, you don't want the battery to be completely full or empty... you want it somewhere around 30-50%.

do NOT drain the battery. Leave it above or around 50% charged. If you leave it completely drained for too long the battery will lose its ability to charge, period, and you'll have to get a replacement.

Back to the topic: What to do with the laptop while you're gone? Take it with you?😀 I don't think you need to drain the battery to 50% unless you're leaving it for a longer period (months) from what I remember reading on Apple's site.

doesn't matter, the point would be to not leave the computer sleeping because of low battery - it would safe sleep and would not be good for the battery regardless.
 
Just turn it off, unplug it, and leave it. Don't worry about taking out the battery or draining it halfway, etc. It's only two weeks, it will be fine.
