Get a Pelican brand hard case to keep it in, they're moisture tight.

Thanks for all the input I think I will try this in a cooler with an icepack. I had my iPod touch for years in my vehicles while at work with no issues but I heard that the heat can kill the battery life so I just want to be cautious. The locker idea would work great if only they let us keep cell phones in there but prison rules won't allow it. Oh well I think this will work.

All those Ice Solutions sound like a huge pain for the long term and you'll end up leaving it at home and better do that or leave the AC of your car on or something
