I'm realizing that the GPS system for the iPhone isn't all that bad. I actually have a pretty decent windshield suction stand that I used for my EDGE iPhone that works fine as a stand, but it's annoying to touch the phone every minute to keep the display on.

I know for the older phone if the phone was plugged into a car charger the display would actually stay on, and I'm assuming this is the case for the new phone as well. But I feel like there should at least be the option to leave the display on for certain applications like maps.

Oh, and yea...here's to still hoping for a TomTom audible turn-by-turn app

*cheers*

I guess this goes to show that the original intent for the gps was never for turn by turn, voice guided nav...otherwise there would be a way.

Oh, please be a way. :(
