LED notifications buggy

Hey guys, one of my favorite feature in iOS 5 is LED notifications. However, it seems so buggy. Sometimes, it just stops working. I have to turn it off and on back so it can work again. However, it never works with e-mails. Does anyone have it work with e-mails?

I have a white 64gb iPhone 4s.

I have a iphone 4 and I turned it on and it has never worked for me. Also I tried buying new SMS tones, the button just clicks and nothing happens.
