Not sure why but I thought it was more than that.. you may have convinced me..

Another thing I noticed is my battery life is infinitely better on this new phone which is 6.0.2.. my old one was 6.1.

6.0.2 you can still jailbreak :)

Kinda shocked apple wasn't willing to replace it for you. Bummer.

It has to be "repairable". If it's in more than 3 pieces, or there are bits missing it's considered to be beyond repair, and the OOW replacement wont be offered.

haha, nope .. I've never been a fan of insurance plans.. Would always rather pay the out of warranty replacement fee since I'm usually good at holding on to my gadgets. Hoping this was a fluke!

Insurance plans to me are sometimes useful. When I know my cash flow horizon may be a bit constrained, I will pay for extended warranties/replacement plans for essential items provided they're not outrageously priced. My reasoning is that I am turning a variable cost into a fixed cost.

Let's say I am studying the next three years and I buy a laptop to support my studies, and most of my money will be tied up in tuition, I'll go ahead and spend the extra $240 and get the peace of mind knowing if the computer breaks, I'm taken care of so I can just focus on the task at hand.

Now once I'm done and my time and money aren't tied up, I'll go ahead and chance it because I will have more time to deal with problems.

Now, other students would probably strongly disagree with me, but I've always done well in school by doing things unconventionally. A certain fella who went by the last name of "Jobs" also did pretty well for himself by marching to the beat of his own drum........I wonder what he ended up doing with his life.......
