I was playing CDO 4 on my new MBP the other day and it was getting pretty hot..what are your graphics and texture setting set to in COD 4...are you trying to run it full out?

The CPU is roughly in the middle, with the GPU on the right hand side. Now on the left hand side is where it charges so maybe....not sure if the CPU would make the left hand side of your computer hot....

You realize the picture you're showing is showing the bottom of the laptop (the laptop is up-side down), right?

So when you say the GPU is on the right-hand side, when you turn that laptop up-side up, the right-hand side becomes the left-hand side, therefore it is the GPU causing the heat.

Yup, do now :) Schoolboy error.....

Well hopefully someone with one will reply and share their experience with it so we know.

I've got a 2.8 and while it does get pretty hot on the left side is it usually closer to the screen and never hot enough as to be unplayable.
