Software installation report -- is this legit?
After reading about the recent (Dec 22) OS X security update, I followed the suggestion of one of the commenters to check in System Report for recent software installations. When I checked About This Mac > System Report > Software > Installations, in addition to expected OS X updates and the like, there were multiple entries labelled Google Voice and Video. These were daily occurrences, frequently several times per day.
Anyone know what is going on here? The only Google apps that I have installed on my Mac (Retina iMac, OS X 10.10.1) are Google Chrome and Google Drive - no problems with these, but I use those apps only occasionally. I use the Google Voice app on my iPhone and on an older Android phone to handle voice messages, but as far as I know I have not installed a Google Voice app on the iMac.
Are these installations legit? Or is there simply some activity going on that the OS X system report is erroneously interpreting as an installation?
