I guess the only question is, has the contrast improved?

I think it could go either way but my guess it that as a result of the problems with 1GB on the Air, they'll got with 2GB. 1GB was never really an issue on the iPhone 5s but it caused significant problems with the iPad Air. It was one of those issues like A5X Chip not having enough horsepower where Apple will never want to make that mistake again.

No one but Apple knows the answer. We'll find out next month. :)

No leaks or rumors on the rMini 2. I'm starting to get very doubtful that it will be announced next month when the Air2 is announced.

I'll not buy any new apple mobile device without 2-gigs of ram.

I'll buy a rMini 2 with 1 GB RAM but I also hope the contrast has improved.

Never understood the fuss about ram in the iphone and iPads. I never have any issues with either of mine. What are you guys trying to do with them anyway?

I run into issues sometimes while I'm at work since I access so many different apps for my workflows. I love my 6, but really wish they would have just added the extra 1GB.

Given that the iPad mini is the cheapest iPad line and the new iPhones have 1 GB, I expect 1 GB of RAM in a 2014 iPad mini update (although I'd like to see more), unless split-screen multitasking is introduced to the iPad mini at that time.

Yeah it's not the same as with the 5.5" iPhone where rumors mentioning its existence were fairly consistent in the months before its announcement. Lately I have been taking seriously the possibility that the iPad mini will not be updated this year, but I am also seeing if any mini rumors pop up in the next few weeks.

If the iPad mini gets updated in 2015 H1, then there is a possibility that it could be updated at the same time that the rumored iPad "Pro" is announced. I wonder if Apple is going to shift the iPad update cycle by ~6 months for a ~Q2 update, which is basically back to what it was originally. The rumored 2014 iPad Air update could be like the iPad 3 in the sense that it is only current for half a year (and that the RAM is doubled over its predecessor!), although unlike the iPad 3 I think the iPad Air 2014 Q4 will have an A8 chip and the iPad Air 2015 ~Q2 could have an A8X chip.

2gb of ram on all new iPad models or else Im jumping off a cliff

to find a iPad with 2gb of ram....

I see no reason for them to offer 2 Gb when they're already offering a gold ipad.

doubt there will be a retina mini 2, they are probably just gonna drop the price on the current 2013 model and reduce the storage size options. I would love a gold one though.

Same. It's all FUD that gets spread around here on the forums. I have never had an iOS device lag on me (when using an OS version thats friendly for it, of course. Not like that iPhone 4 iOS 7.0.0 fiasco). Androids on the other hand....

Reduce the storage size? I would think they would increase storage and keep the same price. Bam, new iPads for the year!

like how they do with the previous year iphones when new ones come out. they offer only an 8gb option or something and drop the price

That's different though. That's a free phone on a carriers 2 year plan. I definitely don't see them reducing the storage an iPad everyone pays full price for.

I thought iPhones always got the upgrades first followed by iPads? Since they only put 1gig into the iPhones I would expect the iPads to be equal in ram. JMO!
