Hi.

I recently bought an m1 max MacBook 14 inch 64gb. I also bought an Lenovo thunderbolt 3 dock, so far dual screen works fine but is it possible to turn the MacBook on without opening the lid? For example if I click on the power button on the dock or connect the lightning cable? When I connect the cable I hear the charging sound.

Also my lan connection is not recognized, is there a way to fix this as well?

Are there any other thunderbolt docks with better options and the features I listed above? For around 100 Euros Or is the Lenovo a good choice?

Hello mate. I used a ThinkPad Thunderbolt 3 Dock (40AC) with my M1 Air.

Unfortunately it's not possible to turn on the MacBook without opening the lid other than schedule when it should turn on...
I mean just don't turn it off... it takes basically nothing from the wall and is inaudible.

Regarding the LAN connection - it worked for me.

But I don't use the dock anymore because it was redundant for me.

Hi, Thanks for the answer, what are you using then? a sub c hub?

I have a ThinkVision P44w-10 monitor that has a couple of USB ports and it also charges the laptop.

And I also have Anker USB hub (the one with 4K@60 HDMI) just in case / for travelling
