iPhone 14 Pro Lens protection?

seems like the 14 Pro lenses stick out a great deal farther than my current XS model. Do I need a particular case for this? I also have MagSafe for the first time but don’t know how important it is to get a case especially made for that.

As far as magsafe, if you do intend to use magsafe accessories then definately get a case that supports magsafe, otherwise you could be looking at weak magnetic connections through a case that doesn't have magnets.

Most cases also have a lip around the back camera module that is raised a little bit higher than the cameras so it protects the them if you set the phone down on a flat surface.
