Hello, with my return period quickly approaching, I've finally had some time to take a more detailed look of photos on my 15PM. I've noticed that the corners of my photos of my main camera have some sharpness issues, not just in close-up shots but also in more landscape shots. I'm looking on feedback whether anyone else noticed something similar on their phones. I am aware that in general sharpness decreases around the edges of the frame due to the optics. Am I too picky or am I looking at some quality issues here? Appreciate any feedback!

Here are some cropped images from my 15PM (captured in RAW), zoom at 66% in Lightroom:

I also have 15PM and my edge sharpness is also decreasing. It looks very similar to yours, maybe even the same.
I previously had a 13 PM and I don't think there was this problem, but I could be wrong.

Any lens will be softer at the edge, but if you aren’t happy or unsure test it with an in store device to compare.

Thanks for your feedback. I live too far from the next Apple Store. I've spent some time walking today and taking additional pictures. The blurry corners persist. I've also spent some time on the 15PM galleries on Flickr. I found one phone that I think has the problem worse than mine but more importantly, the others on there mostly seem to be sharp corner to corner. I will send it back.

@Optimator However, you were right, today I took some photos with my 15PM and there are no such blur on the corners, good thing you returned that phone. Of course, the edges (corners) are a little softer, but they are subtle and visible when enlarged. Sorry for the misleading in the previous post.

No problem and thanks for the update @Ketsurui. I should have thought of Flickr sooner :)
The phone was already picked up today. I went with a straight return instead of a replacement, so that I will have another return period on the second phone, just in case. Drawback of course is that I'll still have to wait for 2-3 weeks ;) I'll report back once I get it.

So, as promised, reporting back with the new phone. I'm still seeing a similar sharpness drop in the corners. Still on the fence whether I'm too picky or if this is indeed a problem. But now that two phones behaved similarly, I'm not sure if it would get better on a third attempt😅 Does anyone know a website where you can download some 15PM RAW files? Flickr is always just compressed jpeg.

I've taken a picture of a photo print and the issue can be well spotted in the structure of the canvas:
