Is there a way to make the default Finder window for opening any new folders etc a specific size and have the side bar remain a specific width?

I hate having to resize stuff - I'd rather every new folder I opened had the same size etc as the rest.

I agree...there has to be an option where when you open up finder, the window is a specific size. This aggravates me to no end.

If you open a window from the desktop, dock or side bar in Finder, you just have to resize/change view/anything else, close the window and it should be opened as you closed it.

Example: Close all Finder windows, click the icon in dock, resize the window, close it and click the icon again. 😀 It works here right now.
