I've checked out many threads on the difference between the 128mb and 256mb video card in the newest macbook pro revisions. It seems that the general consensus is that the one with 256 is best for gamers.

For a non-gamer web developer (using CS3 and occasional video editing), will I notice any difference? Also, once leopard comes out, will I regret not getting the one w/ 256?

Barefeats has done some benchmarking with this (http://barefeats.com/rosa03.html) they found a gaming speed increase averaging about 5%. As for CS3 and Video Editing, those barely tax your graphics card so you shouldn't notice any great increase by upgrading to the 256MB version.

Ok cool. What about leopard? I know leopard is going to be very graphic intensive and would hate to take a hit on the performance.

Well the macbooks with integrated graphics will be able to run it, I should think the macbook pro is going to fine no matter which variant of the graphics card you have. :)

The effect of more graphics memory is more noticeable on higher resolutions. Given you're only using a laptop its probably not going to make much of a difference (unless you're driving a large external display)
