Can you post a screen shot of your Activity Monitor? You're probably just reading it wrong (not having a dig at you, but you wouldn't be the first).

Dont Think im reading it wrong as iStat reported only 22mb free of ram after i opened Dashboard and closed it.. and my system really bogged down..

Side Note: Once i kill that DashboardClient process, my ram restores back to 1.35gb, but then my fans start to spin up again and it goes back down to like 20mb free.. and the Dashboard Client is back at 1.4GB of using it

huh, well it looks like it really is using that much.

I'd close all your widgets and reboot, then check memory usage. Then add one in at a time and see if any of them are horrible memory leakers.

    Terminal

I had an app that enabled-dashboard or disable-dashboard on my macbook but my hard drive was formatted before i could get everythign on to my mac.

google it the app is a blessing if you only want it on at time to time basis.

well anyways i realized what was causing the problem, and its the islayer Organized widget.

for some odd reason if i have that widget on the dashboard and open up dashboard it locks up comp with the CPU usage, i uninstalled the widget using appcleaner and everything is fine,

my only thing is id like to get that widget back as its really helpful for me, and i re downloaded it and same thing happens as soon as it gets placed on the dashboard my comp bogs down and memory gets consumed down to like 20megs..

any ideas what could be causing this? as id really like to get this widget back

    bump anyone??
