Hi all,

I performed a fresh install of Leopard, and everything is great except for an annoying "pulsing" of the divider strip between the trash bin and the rest of the dock icons.

Every few seconds it seems to magnify, for a split second. It is really, really annoying! I can't figure out what is causing this. Has anyone else come across this?

The computer in question is a MBP 2.4GHz. I've got it on my Mini as well, but it doesn't do it on there.

This is almost certainly caused by some program launching then immediately quitting. Watch the Dock closely for a while. Do you see a new icon appear on the right side, near the divider, then vanish as soon as it came? If you do, then my suspicions are correct. It might be hard to spot, since these things sometimes launch and quit so fast that you can barely catch it. Occasionally, things like printer software monitors will do this periodically - it's generally safe to disable this behavior in the offending app.

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll keep an eye out for the offending app!
