Leopard: Empty Desktop

    Anyone notice how in all the videos and apple screen shots, there aren't any hard drives on the desktop... Is this an option you can setup, or how is this done?

    Might be worth noting that this feature is not new to Leopard, it has been around for a long time.

    No, in Tiger's Finder Preferences:

    Note the unticked 'Hard disks' :)

    hey yeah i have that problem plus something

    i have checked finder preferences and also system preferences isnt working.

    I have that problem too, my desktop is empty and I cant put anything directly on it.

    ^Since you guys revived an extremely old thread, please elaborate on your specific problem, with any additional information you may have regarding your computer (ie operating system), or maybe a screen shot?
