If you look on Amazon, there are loads of books such as 'Leopard for Dummies' and others helping people learn how to use Leopard. I understand these books are for pre-order but surely they must be in the works now and therefore have access to the new OS X 10.5. Is this possible? 😕

I'm sure they have deals worked out with Apple. They probably paid for a developer subscription and have access to developer versions.

I suspect these authors are also developers or at the very least, are registered as developers, so have access to the latest developer's builds. They will also be signed up to the usual non-disclosure agreements.

[Edit: Crushed by the grape 😀]

I am sure Apple seeks out people with a record of writing popular books on the subject in order to make see that the information is out there. Undoubtedly they have to sign non-disclosure but I would be surprised if David Pogue had to sign up as a developer in order to sneek a look at Leopard,
