Leopard install help

I am trying to upgrade my 1.4 ghz ppc mini to leopard. I used alt at bootup to select the leopard cd. After a couple minutes the screen turns all gray except for the spinning rainbow cursor. It has been like this for a couple hours now, but I still hear the disc spinning. What could be the problem?
 
i could be wrong but arent you supose to push the C button to boot from the CD?

or is that just intel macs?

you can prolly start the install from within tiger as well, try that

Why didn't you just install it from the OS that is on the mini? Is this an upgrade cd or retail?

Is there such a thing as an upgrade-only CD?

That's actually every Mac ever made, except the PowerBook 1400.
 
Holding c didnt do anything so I used alt. That didnt work either though, but I figured it out. Thanks
