I am trying to upgrade my 1.4 ghz ppc mini to leopard. I used alt at bootup to select the leopard cd. After a couple minutes the screen turns all gray except for the spinning rainbow cursor. It has been like this for a couple hours now, but I still hear the disc spinning. What could be the problem?

Why didn't you just install it from the OS that is on the mini? Is this an upgrade cd or retail?

And you did this instead of holding down C because... ?

Is there such a thing as an upgrade-only CD?

That's actually every Mac ever made, except the PowerBook 1400.

Hold down C to boot off the Combo drive for the install process..

Holding Alt/Option key during boot-up will be Boot selection if you got 2 OSes installed ..

If he bought a machine a week before 10.5 came out. He could get leopard upgrade DVD.

Isn't that just a retail Leopard DVD at a discounted price?
