Alright, so I ordered Leoard from the Apple Store. And I also got this.

So, I was planning on cloning my existing Tiger install onto the drive and then using Migration Assistant to import all of the settings, files, etc. However, isn't this the same as an Archive and Install instalation? So am I really accomplishing anything?

Also, what is the best way to clone the HDD? Can it be done with Disk Utility?

    FYI:
The computer is a MBP CD w/ a 100GB HDD (64GB currently used). And I will be using FW400 for the drive (I think this is required for the Migration Assistant, no?)

didnt want to edit your previous thread then.. ;)

Yes, you can clone, and migrate.. which is different to archive becuase you have your stuff backed up externally. Disk utilitly does a fantastic job of cloning, but you have to use the installed one, not the one on the install disk.
