Leopard installation question

    Hi all, if i'm going to upgrade from tiger to leopard what option do i select to preserve all my software & files?..........is it archive & install?
    I just wanted to be sure before I do something hasty!

    I would back everything up to an external, and then when installing Leopard you can restore from the Time Machine Backup. :)

    If the OP's running Tiger, he doesn't have Time Machine, but you're right, he/she should back up to an external first. I suggest using Carbon Copy Cloner.

    To the OP ... Archive and Install is the way to go.
