Leopard keeps booting to setup assistant....

Did a software update (not sure if that is the culprit) restarted, and now computer only boots into the setup assistant screen. Even after I fill in the info is goes right back to the setup assistant.

Tried rebooting to safe mode, login appears and am directed back to the setup assistant after logging in.

Did disk repair and permission repair from the install disk with same results.

What else are my options before I just wipe out the HD and do a clean install?...

Anyone else with this?

Don't know if this really makes a difference or not, but the info I've seen on this says to boot into safe mode but not to logon; immediately restart after the logon screen comes up.

Did an archive and install and the computer has sprung back to life 🙂

Something must have been corrupted....
