Using an Intel Mac... Mail launches so fast that the Dock never registers it as running, and thus it's possible to poof it from the dock while it is running. 😱

Anyone else experience this?

Mail.app in 10.5 is HELLA buggy in so many ways.

A killall Dock from the Terminal fixed it. Weird. 😱
