Hi guys,

I am having a nightmare installing Leopard on a new iMac.

To cut a long story short after spending hours on the phone to apple support, I am now in a situation where I have erased the hd and cannot eject the Leopard disk from the drive.

I am told I need to reinstall Tiger, and then upgrade, so could someone PLEASE tell me how to eject the DVD so I can start from the original Tiger disk??

Many thanks in advance.

do u have access to another Mac? Either yours or a friends? If so, you can install via target disk mode (boot and hold "T" when you hear the chime). Thats how i had to install Leo on my buddy's MBP.

Try holding left mouse down while booting. Last I check, which was actually on a PPC Mac, that worked. Not sure about Intel Macs since I've not had to do it.

Thanks ~J~,

Unfortunately, I have no access to another mac at the moment so I really need to eject that DVD! :(

@ vanmacguy & ebel3003,

You guys are stars!!! That worked!

Many thanks!
