Hey all, I have a Leopard install disc that I used for an iMac and was curious if I could use it on my G5? I want to bring it up to date (it still has panther)

Install disks that come with Macs are model-specific and will not work on other models.

It was a retail disc

Apple states the following basic Leopard system requirements, although, for some specific applications and actions (such as iChat backdrops) an Intel processor is required:[52]
  • Processor must be any Intel, PowerPC G5 or G4 (867 MHz and faster)
  • DVD drive (for installation of the operating system)
  • At least 512 MB of RAM (additional RAM (1 GB) is recommended for development purposes)
  • At least 9 GB of disk space available.

it meets all of the specs, I'm just mainly curious about the legality.
If you bought the retail version, you can install it on any Mac you own, although if I recall correctly, the license agreement doesn't allow you to install it on more than one simultaneously.

Is it illegal to break a licence agreement?
