Hello,

im wondering if i can get a copy of leopard on cd's instead of dvd. if so ill install it on my g3 powerbook. if leopard is not available on cd, i have tiger installed now and im perfectally happy with tigers performance, just thought it would be nice to have a later version of os x since it is such a perfect os!

Nope. Tiger was available in a CD version, but Leopard is DVD only.

I wouldn't recommend trying to run Leopard on a G3 computer anyway.

It's not available on CD, but I doubt the g3 would even be able to install it anyway. IIRC, Leopard requires 887 mhz cpu at least.

thanks for the quick answers. like i said im happy with tiger, just thought it would be nice to have a newer version of os x since it is so great to use. anyway ill keep my tiger and enjoy it!

Just as a warning, Leopard certainly cannot boot any G3 Macs - I tried this by accident while booting a iMac G3 off of a G4s HD, Id forgotten it had Leopard on, and it just hangs at the spinning circle on startup as the code requires the Alti-Vec component of the processor to work.
