basically im buying a new laptop macbook after the 15th

im going to get the basic model due to i only want it for internet use i might tamper with imovie but idoubt i do much in it.


im basically trying to work out how much ram (idle) the macbook would use to see if to buy ram (3rd party) so its devilered ready for my macbook

so far i worked out

1204 (roughly)
-128mb (gfx) max
-OS

you can run safari on 256mb of ram

The basic MacBook will come with 1 GB of RAM, easily enough to handle Leopard and basic Internet browsing (Safari, Firefox) without difficulties. If that's all you plan to use it for, you won't need to purchase additional RAM.
