This is one thing I hoped would have been fixed with Leopard.
I have a Canon IP6600 printer - when printing in Tiger PrntJbmgr would give a lot of CPU usage. Sometimes if a job got stuck and I wasn't actually at the printer (printing from downstairs for instance from my Macbook), my Macbook Pro's fans would be on full blast when I came to get the print out some hours later.
This issue is still present in Leopard. Which sucks!
