We are running Mac OS 10.4 in a student lab. Leopard asks for an administrator password to unpause a printer, and our students do not have the admin password for obvious reasons, but a certain printer keeps doing this. Is there anything that can be done to stop having to authenticate for this kind of event?

Leopard is Mac OS 10.5.4

We are running Leopard, which is OS 10.5.4, Sorry!

same problem

Hi I have the same issue, currently running 10.5.7 with Active Directory accounts. Once the printers are paused the user needs someone with Admin Rights to unpause it. Has anyone found a solution to this?
Cheers
Chris

From another website: link. I haven't tested out this solution personally so make a backup of the pertinent files before modifying them willy-nilly.
