Hey everyone, maybe a dumb question, but I appreciate the help...

I have just sold my MacBook to someone on ebay. How do I restore the OS so all my files, documents, etc. are deleted, but my apps remain on the machine? Thanks in advance...

Depending on how big the files you want to keep are, you can put them on another drive/burn them to CD/DVD. Then reinstall the OS from the discs that came with your MacBook, as well as any other applications you want on it. There is also a way to make the setup assistant appear for the new owner, but I forgot how to do that.

Thanks! Quick question...

If I purchased say, iWork 08, will it reinstall on the machine, or is it no longer valid after the first install?
