Pretty new to mac programming and I was trying to make a sidebar that looks like the one in iTunes and finder in Leopard but could not see anything in Interface Builder 3 that looked like it would do the trick. Lines... vertical split view (although this has a dot between panes which I don't want)? Or would you just have to write this yourself using a Custom View? I am just surprised if this is the case because I would have thought other people would want to create apps that are stylistically similar to ones that ship with the OS. Am I missing something?

sidebar for iTunes

i am new to mac programming, yet fascinated by the iLike sidebar, i am trying to create a similar sidebar. i just want a sidebar that would show me the currently playing track and its metadata for mp3 tracks.
i am trying to get a hang of apple script and interface builder. but i am not sure what would be the right approach. can anyone pls guide me through??
