I am getting the same error. I got it right after running software update (updating iLife '08 and other Pro Apps). I actually came online to see if anyone else was having the same problem (glad its not just me). My guess is that Apple is messing around with the update server before the big day tomorrow.

I think it is best to wait and see if goes away on its own.

Oh alrighty i was getting confused for a minute how are you guys liking it?? besides macfuse not working im loving it.

No problems with Tiger. Either the last round of updates broke software update, of different OS versions look to different servers.

Or its just working now :)

Someone please post when theyre software uodates begin to work.

10.5.1 would be great deff get some of these application issues resolved. Someone post once they flick the switch

still down...

Glad I found this thread, was starting to worry.
Can't wait to see what kind of goodies there will be when it comes back up!!

oK, now I am getting nervous. As of 6:30am EST Software Update still isn't working. Anyone running Leopard with a working Software Update? Maybe it is not everyone.

Relax!

Software Update worked perfectly OK a couple of days ago. They must just be doing something. It'll be back.

(the only update in there BTW was a Remote Desktop Client update, hardly earth shattering stuff).

I know everything will be working again. And there is a lot more in Software Update than that... that is if you did a clean install and installed iLife ect.

I did a clean install.

You're right about iLife though, that wasn't on there at the time so there probably will be more for that.

As far as a clean install of the system though, the Remote Client was the only update.

You're good. Thats all that was in the update for me. I didn't install iLife yet though, I hate booting from cd for some reason (bundled with iMac).

You can just pop in the CD that came with your mac, navigate to where they store the packages, and install "Bundled Software.mpkg" (Pretty sure that's what it's called). No need to boot from CD.

Software update error

Well, mine is still not updating.
Does anyone know what might be the problem?
