leopard strange pixel behavior

since I updated to 10.5.3 I noticed a strange desktop graphics pixel behavior in the finder, with every application, sometimes disappear some other time remain and I need to quit or select all elements... see attached picture to see what appens. I am supposed to be an expert user... and system and iMac are new... someone knows what is about? 😕

Sounds to me like a graphics driver bug... and you're not the only one with this issue. Look here.
