Leopard Time Machine + Ethernet Drive

    Hey guys, quick question. I've got myself a MacBook Pro, and I'm not one for keeping it at the desk plugged into an external HD, but I really love the idea of Time Machine. I don't have an AirPort Base Station, but I was wondering if I bought an ethernet external drive like this one, will I be able to backup wirelessly with it using Time Machine?

    I'd imagine that if OS X recognizes it as an external hard drive, Time Machine will work with it.

    Yes it will work fine although over wireless somewhat slow,it will also back up to it's own partition or just use space within a partition used for other stuff.
