I am close to ordering the new mac pro, but would like to know if the transition to snow leopard will be as simple as inserting a disk and installing, or is it going to be a disk format and reinstall. Any thoughts? Thanks

Some people will tell you that you need to erase everything.

    You don't, however.

Yes, easy. Insert the disk, choose your method ... twiddle thumbs ... enjoy.

Yep, very much so. You'll have "Erase and Install", "Upgrade", and "Archive and Install" as options.

Thanks chaps, that pretty much settles it I think. I'm 90% sure I'm gonna get it, use an old monitor until they update the 30" to LCD, drobo to back up. Raid 0 with 4 x 1TB drives. That's todays plan! :)
