check out my video comparison between Leopard and Snow Leopard. Boot up time, shut down time and launching apps.

The video itself was very good, it was useful as it showed the massive speed up in SL.

The music though. Good God man. Pick something else. I wanted to stab out my ear drums with a f** bic pen!

I actually had a better song, but had to change it because of copyright issues, the song that is now in the video is from youtubes library. Sorry!!

Next time go with something like this (there's a lot of public domain classical out there);

Might result in a few less sprained spleens amongst the old timers like myself.

It may not be a mod, but when you click the mouse, there is a red indicator (circle) behind it.

Great video, BTW.

um why does that have an e-mail tag?

I really noticed the speed difference today while I was upgrading my MacBook from Leopard (I upgraded my iMac on Friday).

Just did my first Time Machine backup since installing SL and it was much faster then Leopard. 15GB took about 15min to finish.

Realtime?

Just curious why the seconds tick away faster than realtime in the menu bar displaying the recorded seconds. Did you speed up the video slightly or is it just my imagination that some seconds are missing too? Just curious. Perhaps you had to fit it into the 10min YouTube allotment?

No, there is actually very little out there that is in the public domain. Sure, you can gather a few friends and record some Schubert and put your recording in the public domain, but Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonics' recording won't be in the public domain for many years.
