Okay, here's the problem... My little sister somehow messed up her intel macbook running leopard...

Now whenever she boots up there's a grey screen and there's that little annoying message that says "Please restart your computer now. Press the shut off button...blah blah blah".

I tried booting up from leopard cd, but that didn't work. I also tried booting in safe mode. That didn't work.

Please help me!!!

Alex

Firewire. Backup. Format. Install.

Unless, of course, there's an issue with the hard drive.

I reinstalled leopard, but it still is messed up. Something with the hard drive?

any ideas?

sounds like your hard drive is dead... 😡

Not trying to second-guess your judgement

but I doubt that, because how would he been able to re-install leopard if the harddrive wwere dead.

Wouldnt he have simply gotten a "no harddrive detected" error of some sort during installation?

are you trying to install leopard from a restore dvd meant for another type of mac, or, is it pirated? that could give u kernel panics

btw, im not accusing you of pirating, just saying few potential reason
