I'm in Houston and T-mobile coverage is pretty good overall but I feel like the battery life of my 6S decreased after switching to T-Mobile from AT&T. Currently, at home, I have 3 bars (band 12). Is it possible the phone just "works harder" on T-Mobile?

I'd say compare how many bars you had on AT&T. Generally in all of San Antonio minus a few spots, T-Mobile is vastly inferior in terms of signal strength and stability.

I've got T-Mobile myself. Both me and my fiancee have used a 6s, me on T-Mobile, him on AT&T. His battery life has always been better than mine was honestly. I'm using a 7 plus now.

I'd recommend a battery case. =)

I remember my fiancé had battery issues with his 4S after switching from AT&T to T-Mobile. He ended up trading it in for a T-Mobile 5.

I just switched from Verizon, but it hasn't been an issue since I got a new 7 instead of using my Verizon 5 which had crappy battery life anyway.
